No New Healthcare Premium Tax

“It’s most certainly a tax increase there’s no doubt of that," admitted Premier Brian Pallister about the idea of introducing health-care premiums.

Manitoba currently spends $7,120 per person on healthcare, which is the second highest among the provinces

Todd MacKay of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) has said, “Imposing a massive tax hike and spinning it as a healthcare fee is a failed policy that other provinces are reversing."

We demand that Premier Brian Pallister and Health Minister Kelvin Goertzen reject proposals for a new healthcare premium tax, and start managing the tax dollars Manitobans do pay with better accountability and greater efficiency.
